Summer Fun: Tie Dye Shirts & Washington Co. Fair

Last summer we made tie dye shirts - and had a bit of the dye left over.  So... another summer project.  This year Elijah got in on the fun.

And we headed to the Washington County Fair again. It was fun looking back at the few fair pictures I posted last year - click here if you want to as well. It was another hot, long, and really fun day.  We left home around 9:00 am, and returned home after the rodeo was over around 10:00 pm.  The kids did great!

We did a few more of the activities this year:  Here are the girls participating in the Oreo stacking contest.
Then Grace was so excited to be in the pie eating contest.

They each got to pick one activity at the carnival - The girls picked the bouncy house.  There was no one waiting so the lady let them bounce for 10 + minutes.  They had so much fun and were so sweaty when they were finished :).
Elijah picked the train.  He was the only rider, and went around about 4 times.  He seemed so grown up being able to do it all by him self.  He loved it!
I love Iowa and County Fairs!
