Christmas vacation with family

Grace and Sophia can always find fun things to do on mornings at Grandma Jenny and Grandpa Frank's house.

Christmas morning - opening presents at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Sophia has a hilarious smile in this picture.
Grand-Dad and Hilda got the girls one of their favorite presents - books!  Sophia's book is about a mom telling her little girl that she has cancer - but she still needs lots of hugs and kisses..."You are the Best Medicine."  And Grace's book is "Fancy Nancy" - very appropriate for our princess girl!  Thanks Grand-Dad and Hilda.
Sophia and Grace both got babies for Christmas - they LOVE to play with their babies!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!
Cousin Picture!  We can't get all the Hirschman cousins together without getting a picture - because it just doesn't happen all that often.  Left to right:  Ethan (Scott & Jenny's), Sophia, Haley (Matt & Becky's), Brady (Don & Bobbi's), Torren (Matt & Becky's), Grace, and Addison (Don & Bobbi's).  The kids did great for the picture - as good as you can expect when you have 7 kids ages 1 - 10.  Next year two will be joining the group - our baby and Matt & Becky have announced a new baby to be arriving sometime in June!
Christmas Day Night - such an exhausting day.  After a fun day at Grandma and Grandpa's house we went to Sioux City to celebrate Christmas with Kirk's mom's side of the family (Hansen's).  So much fun - and so much activity for one day!!
Kirk was jumped and held down and forced to read to the kids :).  He loves to read to his girls and anyone else who is wanting to join in.
Johanna and Grace got princess gear including a home made cape from their Great Aunt Lori.  The wore them almost the whole day on Monday (Dec 27)- the day we celebrated Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Puttmann.  I'm pretty sure we have the two prettiest princesses around!
But - princesses don't wear glasses, you know!?!  Oh, my stubborn 3 year old :)
 Reading with Grandpa Puttmann.
The girls were maybe playing school here, but I'm not sure.  Sophia, Grace, and Johanna.
Sophia opening her stocking.  She made it through the stocking, but we laid her down for her nap before opening presents.  You can tell how exhausted she was in this picture!
 More fun cousin love.
Grace very impressed with her Uno Moo.  She is very good at playing it, and makes sure I don't peek behind her "hay bales" to see what colors or animals she has.
Sophia - always on the go, she looks ready to take off in this picture once again.
 Smile!
Kirk headed back home on Monday night, so the girls and I got to spend a little extra time at home.  Tuesday morning Brady was over at Grandma Jenny's house while his parents were working.  Brady is always asking if people will watch him play his DS, and Grace and Sophia were happy to do so!
Tuesday night we went to Sioux City (I HAD to spend my Kohl's cash before they went to waste :) ).  Grace fell asleep about 5 minutes before we got there.  Our first stop was Carlos O'Kelley's, and Grace slept all through supper.  We were trying to wake her up - but she was out!
My parents brought us back home on Wednesday and spent a few days (till Saturday morning) helping out around the house.  We converted the "piano/scrapbook room" into a TOY room.  It's awesome - just ask Grace or Sophia :).
So, Grandma and Grandpa definitely can't leave without a few cuddles from the girls!
