Kirk, Sara, Grace, Sophia, Elijah, and Jenna!: My camera still works! So much to update.

I downloaded pictures off my camera today... which was a great thing considering yesterday it was in the toilet at the Blank Park Zoo. Oops :). Yes, it was pee water, but for some reason since it was Grace's pee - it didn't gross me out too much reaching in after it. I put it in rice over night and... I hope it is back to normal. It downloaded the pictures just fine... that's a start since I still haven't showed you the pictures from the Kansas City family reunion.

We went to Kansas City for the Orr Family Reunion. We stayed at a great place called the Great Wolf Lodge - it was great to be with our family for a few days.

One evening meal we headed to Dave & Buck's (did I get that name right?). It was a nice place to eat, plus had games to play. Here is Kirk and Grace on the closer motorcycle and Jason and Sophia on the far one. The girls (and the boys) had a good time.

The Lodge also had a really nice waterpark in it. Grace really liked being in the water. The waterslide was questionable. Sophia was not a fan of the water, and was quite happy sitting on the edge just kicking her feet in the water. I only got one picture of Elijah at the waterpark - and it was not worth posting. It's too bad, he really liked the water.

Family Picture

Orr Family Reunion picture...We had one night were we all ate together in a banquet type setting. The food was AMAZING, and it was so good to be together. Thanks granddad for a great Christmas (in July) :). Love you.

Grace set up a bunch of dogs with hats on, and then pretended to be one as well. Later added a ball for each dog and a "bone" (marker) - she insisted on pictures at every stage. :)

Elijah - 6 months old.

We took a spontaneous day trip to the Blank Park Zoo in DesMoines. We went with a few friends and had a really wonderful day (minus the camera incident already mentioned).

Here are the girls feeding the parakeets. They were quite impressed...at first. Then one of the birds hopped on Sophia's stick and she screamed. The zoo keeper lady got quite upset that she screamed and then was crying. My opinion was if they needed to be sensitive to sound then they shouldn't have allowed a two year old in. She recovered... eventually :). Grace really liked it.

They also got to feed the giraffes. Sophia just wanted to watch (which was probably a good choice considering the parakeet incident). Look at the long tongue. Grace was so happy.
